Dubai communities with the happiest residents.
People in communities with lots of green spaces and amenities seem to be the happiest residents in Dubai, while those in places that are constantly plagued by traffic and far from schools are the least happy.
A new survey that asked respondents to rate their neighbourhood found that Emirates Living, including Springs, Meadows, Lakes, Greens, The Views and Hills have the happiest folks.

Tenants or homeowners in these places seem to be feeling good because they get to enjoy an abundance of greenery and facilities, as well as a sense of community.
People in other locations that offer good quality apartments and access to restaurants, such as Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Jumeirah Park and Jumeirah Heights, are also happier than many of their peers.
In comparison, tenants in communities that are plagued by traffic problems, lacking in amenities and far from schools, such as International City and Satwa, are among the least pleased.
These findings were based on the feedback gathered from close to 2,000 people in Dubai by ServiceMarket, a marketplace for home services.

Each community was assigned a score according to different attributes, such as quality of facilities, sense of community, child-friendliness, greenery and the availability of public transportation and parking spaces. Respondents were also asked about the quality of the finishing in their home, amount of traffic, noise levels, pet friendliness, among many others.
Emirates Living earned the highest score of 4.16 out of 5, followed by JLT, Silicon Oasis, Jumeirah and Downtown Dubai in the top five. Those at the bottom of the list are International City, Satwa, Deira, Al Quoz and Tecom.
Looking at areas highly recommended for households with children, ServiceMarket found that Emirates Living, Silicon Oasis and Jumeirah are among the most favourite, while International City is considered the least suitable.
In terms of places that encourage residents to lead a healthy lifestyle because of factors like fitness facilities such as swimming pools, gyms, greenery, walking possibilities and noise levels, Emirates Living also appears to be a winner. In contrast, Tecom and Satwa have the poorest scores.
For those who consider the quality of homes as a priority, Downtown, Shaikh Zayed Road and Dubai Marina, among others, are at the top of the list, while the least favourite are International City, Deira and Satwa.
